I ran across the same brand of coat used for the green Silent Bob Coat used in the last few Kevin Smith films.

The coat is made by a company called "Ponte Di Uomo". I couldn't find ANYTHING about the company or the clothes they used to make.

The only differences from the movie coat are that the original comes with a belt and maroon buttons while the movie coat replaced them with black ones. It looks like the movie coat also had the front buttons completely removed.

Abbyshot makes a replica of this coat.

I haven't found much cool stuff at Thrift Stores in a while so this was a fun find.

Oh, damn... NICE...Ive wanted a good Bob coat for a while, closest I have is a leather trench ala Mallrats.

I wouldn't change the coat at all. The reason being that the one shown in Dogma and Strikes back is a copy made by the wardrobe company off of the original. Kevin came to my school a couple years ago and told an amuzing story of how he got a kick out of Hollywood xeroxing all of his favorite clothes. I think that black buttoned one was the hollywood xerox and the brown buttoned one was the Clerks original.

That's incredible! Since Abbyshot was replicating the coat, I had assumed that it was entirely custom from the get-go, otherwise people would just be buying from the source. Does it fit well?

Yes Nice Find. I am a huge Kevin Smith Fan. Its good to know the company that made the coat.

The coat was a sweet 20 bucks.

The fit is roomy on my 42 coat size build. The coat itself doesn't have any size on the label.

I also went back and realized that the same coat was used in CLERKS as well. It was only in Mallrats that a different coat was used. The Batman scene kinda required a leather trench coat.

Man, for that price you could even have it tailored to fit you less roomily for a grand total of less than a new coat.

I'd think that you'd want a Silent Bob coat to be roomy.

He is a sloppy *****, if remember correctly.
