Thread Watch Count/List?

Would there be a way for either the thread creator, or the community as a whole, to know how many people are watching a thread? Or who they are? Sometimes a thread will get a lot of views, but not many replies, and it might be good to know if the thread is interesting enough to people that they want to watch it and not just click on it once. Maybe a list of usernames is a bit much, but at least a count?

I, too, would very much like to know how many watchers I have of my threads. I don't need to know who they are (that might be little too invading of privacy), but a gauge of how popular my threads are will help me make better content in the future!

Right. A total number of thread hits doesn't tell me how interested people are to watch it.
