Thor Ragnarok Hemet and Mjolnir WIP/Painting advice

So I have been working on the helmet from Thor Ragnarok as well as a Mjolnir for it to sit on top of.

I have gotten the hammer mostly to the point where I want to start painting, needs a few touch ups with the sand paper and then some more primer but its getting there.

The part that I'm not sure about since I dont have access to a airbrush yet I cant use Alclad laquers.
Are there any good metal rattle can paints or are there some acrylics I should be drybrushing with instead?
Also while I am here can anyone recommend a good paint respirator for a guy with a beard, I sprayed the hammer outside and just the act of hamming it to dry in my shop was making me light headed while I was sanding on the helmet.

Here are some pictures of things when I actually remembered to take them

How thick is your beard? You can get a decent respirator mask at home Depot or Lowe's stores, but the fit/seal of the mask depends on your beard. My facial hair is short (I use a 3mm beard trimmer) and the masks mentioned above we're fine, but the thicker the hair the more issue you might encounter.
