Hi everyone this is basically my first post here, i have been sneaking around the forums now for about 1,5 month reading and learning a lot! thanks for that, so i finally gathered up enough courage to post this... Here we go

So it all started back at the beginning of this year when me and my brother talked over a glass(es):rolleyes of beer home in Sweden we discussed whats gonna happened this year, what are we gonna do? do we have any goals?
now we have always been creative and handy when it came to creating and building stuff... So my brother mention Cosplay!
now we knew what this was but we never really tried it, but shure we were up for the task!
So after several more beers and after discussing what to actually Cosplay as we found the perfect characters, from that moment we decided to start building Thor and Loki from Avengers

Here is how my build looks like :)

Great job! I like how you did the sleeves. I'm planning on starting a Thor suit for my 7 year old son (to go along with his 9 yr old brother Loki), and I've been wondering how to do those sleeves. What did you use?

Thank you all!:)
Here are some progress pictures...

This is the start of the project, my first pepakura ever^^ i am using this pep file that i found on this forum
---->Thor Helmet<-----
Its increased to 130% after trying first a size with 100% but then realizing it was too small :/
I simply started putting everything together using hot glue. I put a stabilizer across the helmet to hold it intact. after the model was done i coated the pepakura 3 times and then i applied the fiber glass layer...but my mistake was that i started with laying the first layer on the outside :facepalm !
now afterwards i know that its more common to do it on the inside and i really understand why...
I used a dreamer to trim the whole model to make the lines more clearly. after that i started building up the helmet with "bondo" as you all call it in America (this took me a while to figure out what the equal material here in Sweden is).
During the process of shaping the helmet i had a picture as a reference to look at; this helped me a lot! It took a long time but i think i got pretty close to the real shape in the end.
The wings are made out of foam and cardboard and in the center of the wings i built in a aluminum metal peace with 2 screw holes. This helped me later on to attache the wings to the helmet.
now i have to be honest that me and my brother were on a tight schedule and i did not have the time to really smooth out my helmet but this is what my result is.

If you look at the last picture of the helmet you see the the final painting result. I wonder how i can get rid of the sanding marks and smooth it all out??
any tips? i heard that liquid green stuff is a good product for filling "bigger holes"

Hi again!

Here are some pictures from my armor build. I used a template that i found Here. The armor is made from 12mm thick EVA foam training mats. I really like working with foam its a very neat material. I learned a lot of new things working with it, like keeping clean cuts and etc. I also used a dremer to finish of the lines.

Here are the last pictures from the build

This is the sowing part. I just basically copied the form from my old Jeans and left a lot of fabric on the upper part to make sure it all came together as one suit.

The arms were quite harder to make, The pictures tell you mostly how it was made. It took total 10 hours to make.

This looks super cool! What was the fabric you used for the sleeves? I'm doing a Loki costume and he has some of the same fabric that Thor's sleeves has, but I have no idea what it is to look for it.

:) Hmm nothing special with the fabric its normal silver... i just wanted to come as close to metal look as possible. let me know if there is anything else you are wondering over :)

Holy crap, that's amazing!! Is that a thick interfacing you sewed the sleeves to? Is there more of the silver material under the interfacing? Did you just use a permanent marker to make the lines?

Wonderful job!
