This is my progressive show off thread for NBC's Third Watch that ran from 1999-2005.
For the longest time, I've been a big fan of Third Watch. I think I've been watching since mid Season 3 or maybe early Season 4. I didn't become prop obsessed with the Officer badges until I got jvasilatos Gotham City badges with the Citation bars and I finally managed to track down a seller who had the NYPD 150th Anniversary Bars.

Going off of a very small set of Third Watch props taken at an exhibit in Time Warner Center that I've had on my computer since October of 2007,
I began to unravel the officer badges.
Sully's Badge From Season 5:
Cruz's Badge from when she was in Uniform:
The first thing that I did was the tedious task of capping reference images. With the First Season out on dvd, I managed to get some dvd quality caps that showed what everyone wore and their respective numbers.
NYPD Officer Maurice "Bosco" Boscorelli Number "3379"
NYPD Officer Tyrone "Ty" Davis, Jr. Number "6406"
NYPD Officer John "Sully" Sullivan Number "28093"
NYPD Officer Faith Yokas Number "1141"
NYPD Sergeant Maritza Cruz NUmber "615"
NYPD Officer/IAB Detective Sasha Monroe Number "80416"
NYPD Officer Brendan Finney NUmber "7896"
I've spent at least 50+ hours capping Season's 1 to 6 and I will post info on each season, since as with most props, they change from production year to production year.
Now, the easiest part was finding the Citation Bars, as I've managed to scour hundreds of companies who had them and have been in contact with a few of them. I will post that information after I've ordered from a few of them.
The hardest part has been sourcing the actual NYPD badge. Since the badge is still a current issued badge used to officers in the state of New York, finding a badge maker to make me one has been met with lots of red tape. As I am neither a well established collector of badges as one website wanted me to be or a current Law Enforcement Officer, trying to find a company or someone to order me a few has been met with dead ends. I'm still currently trying to source these out and am hoping in posting this info, maybe it won't fall on deaf ears.
Regardless, I'd like to have the citation bars and the backers ready for when I actually find a badge maker who is willing to sell them to me.
Here are the various Citation bars that are seen worn by the people of the 55 Precinct.
The American Flag thats accurate is produced by Smith and Warren. It is two rows of stars with three horizontal stipes as seen on Sully's badge in the Time Warner Center pics. They either come in Silver Stars or Gold Stars. I've decided on Gold Stars to match Sully's two gold stars..
The other various bars are seen here, which I designate in my research as the following:
Blue/White/Red also known as the "Legion of Honor"
Green/White/Blue:
White/Green:
WTC, worn during Season 3 to Season 5. It was taken out in the first episode of Season 6.
Pistol Expert, mostly worn by Bosco and later seen worn by Finney in Season 6.
There are also different add ons for the Citation bars such as gold numbers or gold stars. I will note them in the following posts.
To get an idea for what I'm going for, here are some completed holders.
This badge belonged to Officer Moira Smith, one of the heroes during 9-11.

Here's hoping I get this project finished within my lifetime, as I see the NYPD badges as the hardest thing to get. I hope there are other fans of those show who will show an interest in this thread.
