I bought one thing from him in the past which was an X-Men Movie Jacket... after getting the runaround with shipping and being able to squeeze a refund out of him because the quality was horrible (sewing and stains.)... I never dealt with him again.

I never bought any "Trek stuff" from him, ever.

Can't keep his customers straight... no wonder this guy was banned.

You might want to try tracking him down there. Perhaps a well worded thread in a forum where he still conducts business will help him to do the right thing.

To everyone else, I've been dealing with Max/Wrapofcons for over 4 years now & I've personally never had a problem....fast delivery, good quality and more than fair prices.

This is childish. Bringing up old subjects to try and discredit Max because he won't cooperate with you on your new business venture is immature and low, even for you.

Like Mike/DT said, I've been dealing with Max for the last 4 or 5 years and I've only had ONE hiccup when he was dealing with personal/family issues, but that was resolved and I still use him to this day. As a matter of fact, I placed an order with him the other day.

I know all about the rest of the thread. Maybe on this board his credit has been destroyed. Oh well. On the other costuming boards Max is a member of, he is in good standing. Like I said, he had some personal issues which knocked him down for a bit, but he got his head on straight and got everything straightened out.

This thread was revived for one reason and one reason only: Max doesn't want to be a part of Alfred's new costuming venture. Max is competition and Al doesn't like it.

Threads like this always sort of confuse me. I do not understand the following methodology of argument:

1. Victim: User x has ripped me off, and here is the proof.
2. supporter1: Well, *I* was never ripped off.
3. supporter2: Me neither, in fact, he's a great guy
4. Forum conclusion: victim is full of crap

I don't get that. So are we to assume then that if a person has a couple of good transactions (or maybe a TON of good transactions) that all previous and current digressions are to be forgotten and forgiven??

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Wrap is a lovely man, and he's always making great stuff that many users want. But does that MEAN he didn't have a bad dealing with someone, and should not be held liable for making right on the deal?

Well no one is perfect Matt and I seem to remember a time when you were in fairly tight with JC, who by the way is MOST well known in the bat world for ripping people off...but I'm sure that you personally didn't have any probs with him. So....does that mean that JC wasn't a bad guy nor should he be held accountable for his actions?
Something about the pot and the kettle come to mind here.

And like I mentioned, this thread was around for a whole hell of a long time before him, and his credit counts for jack here. He dosen't need to 'smear' him on a forum that he's banned from and will never sell on again.

Yea, real stand up guy. He can screw people in one place and move on to another, class act. Unless youre saying the people here, coming back years later to post saying they never made amends are lieing.

I'm not quite understanding why Alfred necro'd this thread, but if DT and JW are right, it does seem a bit immature.

However, it seems that there are still members here that tried to deal with Max years ago and have not yet received their items or refunds.

I had a couple of transactions with him back before he was banned here and didn't have any problems. After the banning, I honestly have to say that I haven't dealt with him. I will say that I've inquired about several items over the years though.

I'm a member of a few other boards that he visits and since he "got his head on straight", I haven't heard of any bad dealings since his banning here (aside from a couple of items being shipped slower than expected). Around that same time, his rep and sales/trades were called into question in more than one place but he wasn't banned from them.

I'm not defending him, but I am telling it like I've seen it for the last few years.

Since he's been banned and probably doesn't have the records of the transactions talked about earlier in this thread, does anybody have any suggestions on how he should go about making things right with the people owed here?
