The Wolverine (Post-release)

Wolverine's bone claws at the very least is a tiny thing...He'd grow the bones back...While we've not seen that level of regrowth in the movies, there's little doubt it has to be that way...He gets shot back in the day so much that having non-growing bones would be rather useless after the first 5 or so bullets to the spine....

LOL...

I still don't see the "rape" of the story....It was a good push up from the last one, connected to the last X Men in an interesting way, and connected to the next First Class movie well too......

But it's all "only opinion" as far as that goes....I liked the movie a lot, and yeah, it was nice to see Japanese locations I'm more than familiar with too...Ueno and Akiba were cool to be used, as was the Zojoji......Very cool stuff...

well, yes, if you didnt read the comics, the movie is entertaining but the problem is that these stories are based on the comics. If they want to go *@al with storylines, better to come up with something original, not taking an existing storyline and change it, this is what I mean.

So in the comics he couldn't have grown the bone back? Again......Not entirely what I've seen.....

That aside, the films ARE something "original"....They're NOT direct imports of the comics, either in style, character, or action.....They use the same base, but push the base aside enough to allow them to be defined alone (And, more importantly, to pull in fans who AREN'T comics readers...)...The recent Wolverine in Japan storyline should have shown that...It was similar in many ways, but different enough to allow fans in, and keep the interest in the fans who were already "down".....They aren't simply copying existing storylines....That, as much as my inner-nerd would enjoy it, wouldn't make for an overly amazing movie I suspect....But the balance they have is rather good....I thought..

So, no, I don't really agree with your changed point either, sorry....Not saying it's miles off, but simply that I can't agree..

Wolvie could grow the bone back in the comics, what're you talking about? I forgot which arc it was but his leg was ripped off in Savage land and the leg grew back in 5 hours.

Plus his bone claws even regrew on-screen in Wolverine origins if memory serves me well... I'm just hoping he'll get his adamantium ones back at some point.

Well, I'm glad I wasn't the only one with that "opinion" here....I was pretty sure it was leaning heavily toward the "fact" side of the debate.....

Either way......

And yeah, I reckon Magneto has to get the Adamantium nod now......If you're fighting huge robots, it does make sense to carry better metal to stab them with over bone.....But we'll see eh?

Well, isn't healing technically growing back skin and muscle n stuff? In Ultimate Wolverine Vs Hulk, Wolverine grows stuff back. Hulk asks him "I thought u can grow back anything?" Somethin like that. During The Wolverine's premiere, Singer made a video saying he needed Hugh back so they can finish filming, and everyone watched the vid on a big screen. When he did that, he said "Got your claws, got your chicken." And held up a container of chicken and some metal claws. Can't remember whic vid it was but its on youtube somewhere.

I don't get why Mariko didn't help him.. they clearly had the materials and the technology to do it, at that very facility.

Didn't they say that once the mix has cooled, it can't be re-used.....So while they had the tech, they had used all the Adamantium up to make the suit perhaps? After that, the only person who can possibly do anything with it would be Magneto, since he has more than simple heat to work with in controlling the metal?

That'd be my guess...But since we're dealing with a made up substance, who knows?

I had heard this was crap. I watched it on bluray and although it wasn't an amazingly in depth story I did enjoy it. My gosh Hugh was ripped!!!

I'm not a big X-Men fan, but I liked the movies (not great IMO), and I never read the comics so I don't know all the storylines that have been going on there.
The Wolverine: A fun cool flick. :thumbsup I always enjoy HJ, and I really liked the whole story being about Logan, instead of all the other heroes. The ending with Magneto and Prof X, was kind of confusing to me but I haven't seen X3 in a while so I'll probably rewatch that before I seen the uncut TW.

:lol With the exception of the 1st film, X-Men First Class is my favorite of all the movies. ;):thumbsup

Screen writer Simon Kinberg plans on rectifying that. When asked why Days of Future Past now involves Wolverine going back in time instead of Kitty (Outside of the fact that she's female), Simon had this to say.

We made the decision for a lot of reasons, some of them obvious and some of them more nuanced, to make it Wolverine who goes back in time. One reason is that he’s the protagonist of the franchise, and probably the most beloved character to a mass audience.

This is gona suck.
