The Wolverine costume build

Taking a break from my Hall of Armor build, I decided to start a Wolverine costume. The costume will consist of the movie style jacket, jeans, belt buckle, dog tags, and safety claws (non metal so I can go to the movies without being harassed) I was thinking for the claws to make a structure out of cardboard then cover it with foam, plasti-dip it, then coat it in chrome or silver paint. I am open to other ideas also. i know there are plenty of Jackets out there, but is there one that decent quality and around the $180 or less price range? I also will make a leather hood to go with it. I am taking inspiration from this piece of fan art:

There might be a few on ebay for around the price but even some of the cheapest good ones I've seen are still above 180 for the Jacket.

That fan art looks great but it's nothing at all like the movie Wolverine costume that you're describing......

I didn't think about ebay, good idea. Yes I am just using the hood design from the concept art, and maybe the pants.

logging chaps may not be a bad idea.... considering how much time he spends out in the Canadian wilderness... He probably was a lumberjack at one or another.......

The heron wolverine origins jacket is brilliant and really cheap for the quality I wear the jacket all the time
