Hello RPF! Recently I've started playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Fantastic game for anyone who's considering picking up a copy. I got it in mind after playing it to create my own custom Witcher outfit and character. Now, that's not particularly difficult being a medieval fantasy game, because even Geralt the antagonist wears only period armor and weapons, savor his wolf medallion. Most parts to the ensemble, if not all, unless you do your own leather work, can be purchased online from various dealers or craftsmen. So with that in mind I wanted to create something very unique to the outfit.. A life-size hunting trophy, specifically the griffin. Half wild cat, half eagle, having its head on your back would make the professional monster hunter outfit stand out among the crowd at a renaissance fair or comic convention. My question for any professional or experienced prop makers is... HOW. I have a few ideas of where to start, but nothing concrete. If you have any advice or hints and tips at creating a life like model of a severed griffin head, I would very much appreciate it. Thank you very much!
