It's been a while since I built something from scratch so I took a couple days between projects to work on something. I had sketched it out a few years ago but never put the project into motion.
Behold, The ULTIMATE NULLIFIER!!

The Ultimate Nullifier first appeared in issue 50 of Jack Kirby and Stan Lee's Fantastic Four back in 1966 and was used to fend off the mighty planet devouring Galactus. It is considered the most powerful object in the Marvel Universe. It lives on my shelf now.

During it's construction, I tried to only use reference of it's first appearance as originally designed by Jack Kirby. It only shows up in 6 tiny drawings at the end of the story and Kirby never drew it the same way twice so I had to combine and idealize several elements. Since it's first appearance other artists have drawn their interpretations but I mostly dislike what they came up with, so I actively tried to avoid referencing anything that wasn't pure Jack Kirby.

All together!

Some primer and sanding-

Rustoleum Chrome spraypaint is surprisingly effective stuff!

And after a black acrylic wash to bring out the details and spraying the stand with a semi gloss Black lacquer, it is ready!
