I dont know if this has been done here before but I thought it would be neat to have a thread devoted to all the found items used for props discovered here on the RPF. There have been lightsaber parts, and blaster muzzles and droids, etc...and thats just for Star Wars. How about a thread where we keep this vault of knowledge and discovery and contribution all in one easy to access thread?

Star Wars
ANH=
Lightsabers
Luke-Graflex 3-cell camera flash with calculator bubbles (need model) and rubber T-Track
Obi-wan - Emiiter- Derwent
Grip- Webley MK (?) Grenade
Midband- Graflex Clamp with two (2) transistors (?)
Gear-(?)
Pommel- (?) Faucet handle
Vader- MPP Camera Flash with calculator bubbles and plastic T-Track
Blasters
Han-Broomhandle Mauser re-used from the Naked Runner. Bull barrel with MG81 Flash Suppresor, Hesoldt 3x scope (please give me the exact model number), heat sink (?)
Stormtroopers- E-11= Britich Sterling l2a3(?) 9mm machine gun with T-Track, Model 39 (?) tank azimuth scope, (?) Counter

I think this sounds like a great idea.

And to start things off, here is somthing a little different
During the filming of Return of the Jedi, an extended sequence was shot in whihc Han, Leia, and the Rebels search through the Endor Bunker before arriving at the power center. During the filming of this scene, Harrison carried a blaster which appears to be a modified version of the actual blaster that he used in ANH. You can see a pic here http://www.officialpix.com/estore/prodimages/photos/SW-1560.jpg
This blaster had the same scope mount and scope as the ANH blaster (although mounted in a different spot). However, the flash hider was different from the ANH flash hider.

The flash hider for this version of Han's blaster appears to have been a Czech Tubular blank fireing attachment for a LGM, model ZB 26, which was mounted backwards, with the spoked section facing out. http://www.ima-usa.com/images/XG2603.jpg

I know that the chin grill material for Vader on ESB and RotJ is from an automotive air filter. I thought it was from a Fram air filter? What is the model number?

Is this SW exclusive?
If not, an item I found is the gas mask worn by the executioners in Equilibrium are Soviet Military Officer's Gas Masks, and are found regularly on the 'bay. They are available in black or white/grey, and are usually between $9-15.
- On an interesting note, these gas masks also bear a striking resemblance to the gas masks worn by the combine in Half Life 2.

Vader- MPP Camera Flash with calculator bubbles and rubber T-Track

All of the T-Track used on the sabers, sterlings, mg-34, and fett rifle were all made out of plastic, not rubber.

I identified the components used to make the buckles for Anakin's ROTS glove. The buckles themselves come from a pair of motorcycle boots. The boots are made by Sidi and the buckles can be found on the Discovery, Force SRS, Force TA, and Mini Force series of boots. The screws are an M4 x 6mm zinc plated security screw with the trade name System Zero. The rings are a 5/8" x 3/8" nickle plated rectangular ring. I never found the correct side plate, but I am 99% sure it is a link plate from a ANSI C2040 conveyor chain connecting link. I bought a few samples, but even though the pictures always showed zinc plated, I always got black oxide coated. The size was perfect, just not the finish. Another person followed my work and has since found the correct links.

Rebel Blaster Scope Red Dot Singlepoint scope made by Singlepoint of England.

I help narrow down the actual name of the scope when it was long to believe to be a Weaver Singlepoint scope. I discovered that it was by a company called Singlepoint. Chris Trevas help a lot in helping me narrow it down.

Why is this thread not longer? This is a great idea, and there are so many more found props out htere. What about all the non star wars found props? Lets bring this back from the dead.

I'm in a rush, but I'll see if I can think of some items to add to the list later. :)

I had the water bottle this thing was based off of.

Voyager-prop.jpg

It was used on Star Trek Voyager as some type of container unit.
I'm trying to find the original bottle with no luck. Unfortunately I don't have access to the one I had. So this is a thing that was found and is now lost?

The drink container was actually used in many episodes of ST Voyager as a Holo Drink Container.

It was a nasa drink cup of somekind with marking for Mars on it.

Oh, yeah, I forgot. You can get them at the Dollar tree. ($1. store here in the US.)

There was a ton of found items in The Buffy, and Angel TV shows. (I have a list I'll put up soon, but I have to find all new links for it as I did it years ago, and most of them dried up.)
