the ULTIMATE Battlestar accurization kit R/M scale

Hey folks!

in over 200 hours and 2 years of research I built a TOS Battlestar that matches the Studio model.
While building I had the idea of making it a product and call it:
battlestar-kit-logo.jpg

It contains parts that were used to detail the battlestar in 1978 - but in a much smaller size.

Confidentially, the old SubLevel3 was okay, but had nothing in common with the filming model.
My parts are 21,5% of the studio model, matching the R/M scale.

I made some molds and casts for my own battlestar but the kit I'll sell will be done by a pro molding company (which I am actually looking for).

Here is a hi-res pic of the masters:

And this is how it will look on the battlestar:

There are still parts missing, but just for getting an impression of how things will look like...

You can also easily get drawings from Charles Adams for making your perfekt battlestar. With the accurization kit it'll save you months of work.

AND HERE pics of the finished battlestar with 40cm length...

Far better than SubLevel3's "accurization" kit, which was just a bunch of random greeblie shapes thrown together to add detail to areas that had none but didn't match anything seen on the filming miniature. As I posted on the SSM forum, I'm very interested in getting my hands on one of these when they're available. (y)thumbsup

Well if it had looked like that in the first place... :lol

Excellently well done! :thumbsup

Now who will build a three foot version of this puppy... :cool

It looks great! It is hard to believe the model you are showing started off as the R/M kit.

I look forward to seeing the kit.
