I can't believe it. Probably no special features but a least it's in widescreen.

Been waiting for this for a while, have been stuck with the vhs.

Apparently the Universal release will be a bare bones edition, but a company called shout factory plans on releasing an

edition of their own with special features by the end of the year.

I love The Shadow. Had it on VHS for years. Watched it on VOD a few weeks ago. I might go hunting for the blu.

It was always annoyed me that the DVD had no special features. Considering all the press Baldwin and Miller did for the movie it seems that there should be plenty of existing stuff to put on disc. I would assume the Blu-ray would remedy this.

This movie gets no respect at all. It's the Rodney Dangerfield of movies.

Not that it's a wonderful movie but at least give it a decent transfer.

Shout Factory is hit or miss with their stuff. They have the rights to a ton of 80s shows and cartoons but some of their stuff is good and some crap transfers. They got the rights to the remastered G1 Transformers and GI joe and the stuff is great but others not so much.

Where did you hear this? I'll wait for the Shout Factory release. They usually have a poster or something with their releases too.

Shout Factory's stuff is odd as the Transformers g1 box set was beautiful but the gi joe set is so so.
