Yeah, I haven't gotten any luck with the armor makers I've contacted about a sixth scale project, so hopefully we can work something out?

And I have another project I'm currently seeking permission to do.

Actually... if I get permission for what I want to do, then there would definitely be interest in an accurate RotJ armor version. But yes... for the SFS... I'm trying for ANH armor...

Yeah, I scanned my last item recently and have already dismantled my hardware. I won't do anymore scanning, as the license is linked to my computer hardware/software and the computer is F'ed up, so I need a new one. So any scanning would have to be done by someone else. Professional scanning would also exceed what I could produce anyway, making it as good as the SFS scan.

I'm just being rather surprised by how much it requires to actually do a run like this...

yea its not simple. things arent magic yet. there is a lot of processing to do after the scan is taken, more work to print, finish, mold, cast. it's a lot. good work on what you've got!

The source is from the Gentle Giant scanning of the original SFS, which I thought I made mention of early on.

Well, if that was the case, then that would mean loads of things being sold in the junkyard is verboten. Even Gino's helmets - and most other trooper helmet sellers - as he got the molds from a banned member.

If the banned member(s) were the ones making and selling them. Yes. Verboten.

This is Carstens project that originated from what gentle giant scanned. And while there were banned members helping the GG project this is all Casten now.

Carsten is also right in the fact that people like Gino worked with people in the past that are now banned. But his latest offerings are all his own from our "certain POV" here.

Carsten in another thread said he had questions for one of said banned members which pretty much tells me that he not only isn't working with him. He has no idea how to contact him.

That, and if we couldn't have things that banned members had SOME hand in... there wouldn't be ANY OK TK helmets really! :lol

I realize I'd forgotten to post this set of scale reference pictures... however, I'm unsure of the exact laptop it's sitting on and it's size, so again, really not the best indicator for size.

These are just to hold us over until I get something new to post from the moldmaker. Can't wait.
