The Saint <> Simon Templar's Knife

I really need this and can't wait to see the final version on Shapeways. Would you ever consider releasing the model for those of us with our own printers?

No, sorry, the best I can do is make the files available from Shapeways in plastic or acrylic. In plastic, Shapeways has a very quick turn around time. Acrylic has much better detail, but is more expensive and takes longer to make. Did you want the lock picks too, or just the knife?

Could you make it available in shapeways please? I have some extra cash and would love the prop! It would be cool with the knife and lockpicks

Okay. Here's my files on Shapeways.

Plastic or Acrylic can print both halves of the case in one file.

The blade is here.

If you want the case in Rhodium plated.

Lockpicks are here. (rough cast, requires manual separation)

The hinge requires putting a pin (sewing kind, but not needle) through the hinge and bending it at the end to lock it in place.
This is the best I could figure that would work in plastic and metal for the hinges.

Awesome!!! Thank you so much, I wish I had more money to get the rhodium cast case. But I'll settle for acrylic haha. That's awesome man!!

Yes, that's what's keeping me from getting the final version myself. I don't have the money right now.

The steel options have a problem with the RIBS. It flagged them as yellow. Yellow means, it may-or-may-not print correctly. The steel finish is also, not super smooth. The appearance wouldn't be right.

You need a pin (sewing kind, but not needle) Put it through the hinge and fold the end over. Snip the remainder of the pin off.

Here, there are two circles, one on top, one on bottom. The blade has a hole in it the same size as the circles. You need to gently pry the case apart enough to slip the blade past the circles. The circles will be completely inside the hole in the blade and act as hinge for opening and closing the blade.

You need the Accessory kit to complete the knife. The Accessory kit includes the black and white mask logo acrylic piece to glue in the knife. The kit also includes 2 of the keyboard stickers. (in case you make a mistake with one.) The Accessory kit is $10 which includes shipping.

Okay, I've had issues with the lock picks....I was making them ONE object to save money, and then they'd be separated after you receive them.

Shapeways has rejected this object. So, I am making each lock pick be one item. This increases the cost in BLACK steel, but there is a BRONZE steel option that is cheaper.

Sorry for any trouble. Sometimes working within Shapeways restrictions can be frustrating.

I used the same link as before. You can add the item for checkout, but at "shipping options".....select ship with previous order. This way you only pay the one shipping charge.

Shapeways offered a 20% off coupon, so I ordered the knife in the CHROME finish.
Pics will be posted when it arrives. :D

Main hinge Fail !! It is design that works in plastic but fails in metal because of the lower resolution of the metal.
I'll have to redesign the main hinges.

The hinges on the lock picks failed because the hinges on the knife case won't GIVE to accept the pegs on each side of the lock pick.
Not sure how to redo these.

Love the Chrome case though.

These are the props that make me drool!!!!!!!!! they seem this pretty little thing, and then you start pulling gadgets and trinkets off of it and in the end they put the "swiss army knife" to shame!! absolute win! congratulations on a job well done.

Here's my knife with the emblem Jintosh was nice enough to help me replace. I need to order one of these bad boys soon!
