I have found that some people just are not able to do it. I tell them to try to snore, through their mouth only.... though when they try, it sounds like someone choking on a piece of chicken. For me it's second nature, to the point where if I'm agitated or slightly angry, I find myself doing it... usually catching funny looks along the way.
