1.) E.T. Original Score ♫ Escape/Chase/Saying Goodbye
2.) Star Wars ANH Original Score ♫ Princess Leia's theme
3.) Raiders of the lost Ark ♫ The Raiders March
4.) Star Wars TESB ♫ The Imperial March

Let the maestro battle begin!

*in his best mortal kombat voice:*

FIGHT

#1 gets me so emotional - I can be at work listening on my i-Pod and twords the end the tears start streaming

#2 is probably my closest "perfect" Williams song, the build up, the crescendo, and the multi pitch twords the very end.

#3 is typical Williams Indy music, can NOT be mistaken for anything else.

#4 Imp. March? Iconic!

Yours?

Couldn't agree more! It's my favourite SW theme, followed closely by "Rebel Fleet" (first 2 minutes of TESB ending credits)

Sent from my iPho..... just kidding!

Curious thing here which has been bugging me for months now. Notice there's nothing from the past few decades on that list. It's very interesting to note, as I've had this feeling that Williams kind of got bored writing film music, and instead composes everything as a symphony now. Nothing against that, but it makes...less effective film music. Last Crusade may be the last time I remeber a score that sounded like Williams was paying any attention to what was happening onscreen, but even then it was sounding like he was starting to be much more interested in what he was doing with the orchestra. He's still writing beautiful stuff, but none of it connects with the film the way, say, Empire's score did.

And by the way, the best is Raiders. Ballsy, ostentatious, triumphant, and you can't help but give a cock-eyed grin at the begining of the last statement of the Raiders theme.

To be fair, JP was 1993 as was Shindler's list. Both which I think are GREAT entries.

Also, not a fan of the films but the music from the prequels & Harry Potter certainly has a place in my library.

To the OP - pretty much right on the dot there with my top 3!

E.T. (That song especially) definitely is the most emotional for me.

THere are so many, its difficult to pick just one, so I will go with the first one that popped in my head; Superman. That theme is so iconic and actually makes me feel patriotic in a way.

I listened to the soundtrack from Jaws for the first time in a long time....impressive. Jaws is one of Williams Best if not the best...he is the best
