The PEPAKURA question thread - PLEASE READ RULES IN FIRST POST!

HELP!!!!
Ok, so I'm new to pepakura but I like to think my build of a ROTS Clone Trooper is going relatively well (pics and thread to follow) but I have stumbled across a piece in my build that has left me absolutely stumped as to how to fix it.

It appears that 2 pieces are one on top of the other .

Anyone know how to remedy this?

Angy,
Might be a bug in the unfolder.

Simple fix, go in the 2D menu (or right click the 2D viewport, select join/disjoin face, and click move the mouse over the 204 tagged face. Disjoin that face and voila!

Just reprint that page if needed.
 
I've looked all over the place and can't find a file for a Shae Vizla helmet. Can anyone tell me if they've seen one or knows of someone who could design it for me? My computer just wants to crash when I try to use the designer to make it myself. I have the sketches I did for it.

Does anyone have some tips on placing the fiberglass, and spreading the bondo evenly, mine came out extremely rough m1.jpg
this is after sanding.
 
Does anybody have any of the Gears of War pep files? I know they were floating around a few years ago. Any help would be great.

the fibreglass is supposed to be put on the inside. also, one coat of bondo wont get you a smooth surface. you will have to work with either several coats of very thin bondo, or fill the mistakes with spot putty
 
Hello again RPF,

I have a pep file of Kamen Rider and it printed out fine. It came from UglyDuckling.

My problem is I can't see any valley folds in it. I'm not sure if it's color coded. Some lines are light blue, but the majority are black lines.
Help...
 
Im building the iron man M3 with I do have one question, how do you connect the parts that are separated. Im talking like the fore arm that has the 3 different pieces or the shoulder that is 2 pieces or the shin with the different flaps. Do I resin them separately? and how do I connect each other? Thanks for the help

Are you talking about when you're looking at the image on the computer, or after you've printed it?

After it has printed...and on the computer! I'm thinking the light blue are valley folds and the regular dash lines are mountain folds but I don't want to mess up:behave
 
Oh, you have pre printed colors. There's a way to turn that off and just get the fold lines. Valley folds should show up as long dashes and dots.
 
what grain sandpaper do ya'll recommend for bondo and is there a good bondo filler out there to smooth out the air bubbles
