I see. You will very likely have to triangulate your model before exporting, if the exporter does not do that for you. Pepakura only works with polygon meshes or hard meshes, and not with nurbs or surfaces.
Check the 3DSOUT plugin, it´s a substitute for the former 3DS exporter. It was abandonded in favor of DWG and FBX, see this link how to export to 3DS from autocad 2008
Just used resined my Tron Evolution Anon Helmet pep, it didn't seemed overly hard when cured, any suggestions? I was hoping to fibreglass the inside proper tomorrow.

It's cool that so far, everyone seems to share so much. I've been on other forums of other subjects where all too often the attitude is; "get yer own".
I was thinking... does anyone have a youngling training helmet pep-file? That must be an "easy" first projectalso, the paper which one should use.. how stiff is it? Can you still use it in a home printer that "folds" the paper during printing. If you know what I mean.

Ok, cool. So, is it A4 (don't know if you have the same names for 'em as we in Sweden) that you use for pepakura? (normal document size)
If you have an A4 printer you will use A4 size card stock. I use letter size, just make sure you have pepakura viewer or designer set to A4 under printer settings.

I modeled this a couple years ago, never got around to uploading it anywhere:
Youngling Helmet Final.pdo | Game Front
Here's what it looks like (those huge gaps are not in the model):

I did build it but I don't think I have any pictures. It went together pretty easily.
