Wild huh? I saw it in person a few years ago. It is amazing. It actually was a working radio controlled robot. Very Impressive.
I own the miniature radio controlled Johnny Five used in Short Circuit Part Two. It was owned personally by the man who created Johnny Five. The director used it in the opening credits of the film and in the beginning when Ben is selling Johnny's on the street. Later when the four or five mini Johnny's are dancing to "Heard It Through The Grapevine", it was used there as well. They only made a few radio ones, and the one I have is the only known working radio controlled mini Johnny Five.
They would film the mini Johnny in the department store for the opening. When the batteries would run down, the director would take another with freshly charged batteries and start filming again. As they filmed, the one they just used was charging so it would be ready when the current one ran down.
The fact the creator of Johnny Five chose to save this one means a lot to me. He really took care of it over the years. Now I am the proud owner. It is about 16" high and works. You can see a pic of him here:
