The ORIGINAL East Coast Prop Party

Yes, I have received a LOT of feedback and it sounds like many people would like to attend this party.

So....We are going to start planning to make it all official-like.

We are looking at end-of-April/ Beginning-of-May.

Schwenksville Fire Hall. $20 per person $30 per married couple (free for additional kids) covers the BIG hall rental, all-you-can-eat and drink, all day long (non-alcoholic.)

Several people have mentioned a potential trip to the Franklin Institute for the SW exhibit on the preceding Friday. If there was enough interest, we could certainly do this. It is only 50 minutes by train from the Lansdale train station to center city Phila. This can be discussed further.

If desired, we can also have the traditional dinner at the Kulpsville Best Western hotel on the Friday night-before for those who are travelling in from afar. I would need to know how many are down for this, and/or the museum trip, so we can plan accordingly.

What is a good date? Who would go???

Umm... where would it be? :confused

As in, city? You mention going to Philly, so I'm assuming somewhere in PA...

Re: The ORIGINAL East Coast Prop Party PLEASE STICK

I am absolutely possitively down for it......but only if it's the weekend of May 9th & 10th. I'm a mailman, and that's my ONLY Saturday off in either April or May.

Can we please please please make it that weekend?

Re: The ORIGINAL East Coast Prop Party PLEASE STICK

i'll probably be able to make it...i'll know for certain when it gets closer to the date but as for now i am a very likely maybe

Re: The ORIGINAL East Coast Prop Party PLEASE STICK

depending on the date...I could do it..end of April is better for me...

BTW..if a group is going to go to the franklin institute, you can get a group rate if you have 15 people..and skip the millenium falcon movie..it is 3-4 minutes and about a 2 hour wait. I think the group rate is 18.00 a person..again, a min of 15 people..

^^^^
Also keep in mind that if you see the exhibit between 5 and 8pm, admission is only $10.50 a person.

Re: The ORIGINAL East Coast Prop Party PLEASE STICK

I'm definitely in for the party, so please put me down.

I'll probably pass on the museum and Friday-night dinner though.

Re: The ORIGINAL East Coast Prop Party PLEASE STICK

There's a WalMart a mile or two away, so it's not like it's Tatooine. :p

Re: The ORIGINAL East Coast Prop Party PLEASE STICK

Since this is the "original" East coast prop party, does that mean there is a recast of it out there somewhere? :lol

Re: The ORIGINAL East Coast Prop Party PLEASE STICK

Well the "original" east coast prop party was at Dave Zaristky's many many years ago.....so this is the recast of that party.

Was that the one where we took the pic of four of us with our Shadow Agent rings on? The one where I unloaded a Tardis-load of props from a Fiero?

I think the one Steve R. was referring to was MANY years before the "Fiero" party (remember the ring picture!)...in my townhome in East Windsor, NJ.

Ah, that makes more sense... yours was the first one I'd heard of (or attended), but it seemed like the FIRST one should have been much farther in the past than the one I was referring to... I'd have been surprised to learn that.

Any more thoughts and news on this? I haven't heard anyone suggest any more dates. The weekend of May 9th really would be most ideal (for me anyway), and as it's early in the summer, I doubt anyone else has any big plans set up yet.

Thoughts?
