The Ood

I am trying to figure out how to cast a softball sized plastic sphere. I am attempting to make the ood translation sphere and am a little out of my league.
I need to make two hemispheres out of frosted plastic about the size of a softball all together. Does anyone know how I should go about doing so. Thanks this is what it looks like

Many craft stores sell two part Christmas balls in different sizes.

A quick spray of a frosting paint and your good to go.

Around this time of year a lot of stores carry plastic easter eggs. If you get two and use the bottom half, you should have your sphere.

Target and Walmart may have something that could work.
