Another huge day today, I received the box from Scott scottjua which contained my vintage Obi & Wampa Cave Saber builds, what an awesome day to finally have these in-hand I cant thank all the people enough who helped put these builds together;

Special Package from Scott Jua vintage Obi & Wampa Cave Saber builds (Part 2)

Now I have the Wampa Cave Stunt saber in-hand I swapped out the Inc. Clamp Lever with a Folmer Clamp Lever and the top long knurled Red Button with an early Folmer thin knurled Red Button, I decided to go with the early Folmer Red Button based on discussions & what I think can be seen in the available reference pics, Scott scottjua did an amazing job with this build, thanks buddy

Vintage Hales No3 MK1 Cut-a-Way Training Hales

I recently hunted this vintage Hales No3 MK1 Cut-a-Way Training Hales in complete condition, these were used by soldiers to train in field assembly & striping Hales No3 MK1 and will make an awesome addition to my Hales & vintage parts Obi collection.

Thanks, if they are that would make it a small world, I am unaware of Hans Belt Disc source I picked up this set for a display piece.

The world’s not so small but the Uk is, especially in terms of the number of pristine waders, I posted about them here: Mystery chunks anyway regardless of if they are the same pair or not, it’s a great score and I’m glad you got them.

Hans belt disc is the microphone element from a sound of music or Sono Tone bullet mic, may be in other types too, most I’ve found have been in the US, which makes shipping expensive, I was wondering if they could be in the Sony ones that would be easier to find in the Uk, thanks for clarifying.

The work in this video was done earlier this year but with Dustin under the pump with his job editing took a few months, the project is still on his work bench waiting for some free time

Vintage ANITA 1011 Calculator

Now here is something very cool, I recently picked up this vintage ANITA 1011 Calculator from the 1970's, many will know from posts on the RPF we have been hunting these as a source for vintage ME transistors, which are now believed by many to be the accurate transistors on the ANH Obi saber.

I have to give a huge shout-out to Roy roygilsing from Wanna Wanga who helped with receiving the packaging and taking the calculator apart, now when I say Roy took the calculator apart that is easier said then done as this sucker is huge almost 8kg and jammed packed full of boards & electronic components, below are before & after photos.

The calculated had 2x boards with a total of 7x ME MA09 & MA15 transistors, which Roy harvested along with the vintage wires, which I plan to size for possible ESB Vader HERO saber wires.

We also reached out to Brad slothfurnace regarding the Hivac Numicator Tubes and have sent them over to Brad to test if they are working and too see what magic he can do with them, for those who have not seen on slothfurnance.com Brad builds some cool items with these vintage tubes.

Also people may have seen recent posts & photos from Chris teecrooz & David Edraven99 who also recently picked up an ANITA 1011 Calculator, some of us were lucky enough to pick up a board with a ME MA35 transistor, which I plan to display as a side display.

Vintage Hivac Numicator Tubes Update

I received an update from Brad slothfurnace regarding the Hivac Numicator Tubes, the tubes are in working condition, which is great news considering the age, Brad plans to build a Day & Date Clock as there is ten digits, which will be very very cool.
