The Memoirs of Indiana Jones

Hallo guys,

Some month ago I decided to create a new prop, that came off after a long period of thinking, studying, collecting. I decided to share here some work in progress, so that it could spring suggestions, contributions or new ideas.
It's called "The Memoirs of Indiana Jones", a diary, or better, a 'field journal' written by Indiana in his darker - in many senses - years of his life and career, the decade 1940-1949. It's a journal that contains thoughts, field reports, adventures and travels. It covers all the '40s: I chose this era just because we have so few infos, that it appear very challenging to me, and if we think deeply we do have a lot of books (many languages), videogames, roleplaying games, comics, and a lot of historical fact Indy is involved with.

My preliminar work consisted in research, study of all the published material, related to this period.

The diary will contain inside inserts, and a leather pocket with many aged photos, with Indy and his friends of that period, war time, advetures, etc. This inserts will be released by a friend of mine, and member of IGI fourm, Short Round. Here's an example:

With the great help of my friend Sarednab, we are now thinking to release a limited run of this diary.

The diary will be 187 pages, leather cover, full of inserts, maps, WWII documents, and an inside pocket containing historical photos, featuring Indy an other characters, fictional and from the real life.

The Indy's adventures featured in the diary are strictly conform to the official Indiana Jones releases.

The diary will cover from 1940 to 1949, included all the Indy's year war, recreating hi career as spy for FBI first, then Army Intelligence, and then OSS. And a lot of origial stories, created joining the historical facts, with the Indy cronology correspondence.

We'll meet again the old Imam, Henry Sr., Sophia Hapgood, Willie Scott, Colonel Musgrove, Mac, Oxley, General Ross, and many others.

Featuring in the diary:

The Sargasso Pirates, Dark Horse comic
The Staff of Kings, Lucasarts video game
Into the Great Unknown, Star Wars Tales 19

Interesting... Very nice...

I made a photo album from the complete IJ history from the movies and the atlantis game some years ago... It was some kind like that, but without all the writings, just photos...

Excited to see more...

This will be the "final step" to know ALL Indy life!

1940-1949 for indy story is very dark; only a bit information... thanks to steerpike (for his patience to make all research) all people can learn every single secrets in these dark years!

This journal is complete! Last weekend we complete also inserts and now I started digital work. We ordered leather! Very very soft!!!

Really looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Makes me want to go back to working on my own Indy diary.

You guys probably already knew this, but there was an official indiana jones diary released with a pleather cover and a worn look to all the pages. I own it, and it is actually pretty cool....... Anyway this looks like it will be great.

Yes, but this is totally different from the official Indiana Jones diary released by Lucas.

The official diary is nice, and is give a simple and short resume of only the most famous Indy stories in general.

This project, as we said in other statements, is a complete and definitive study on the unknown Indiana Jones period of life, the WWII, cold war, etc., covering the '40s decade.

Also, we used only official stories from books, games and comics, intertwining them with the real historical facts and people of the period. Actually a long and very hard work, almost finished, thanks God!
