'The Mask' Ideas...

I was going to buy one simpily because they are tight fitting to make it look more realistic, and also they are based in the UK and hand made!

But, i think im just gonna wait for the silicone one :)
 
b89, i know its a longshot, but is there any chance these silicone Masks will be ready for Halloween?? :D

Pretty sure i know the answer haha
 
Honestly, that I just don't have an answer for... I don't think it's going to be too long of a process once it gets going, it's just a matter of finding the time to get this armature glassed... :( otherwise I can get the sculpt going in whatever bits of free time I have as it doesn't have to be done in one go...

Halloween... I'm going to say possible but not likely...
 
Just wandering if you have the armature started at all and if you would care to post some pictures as you progress?

Sorry, just really cant wait to see it get rolling!
 
I was on a shoot all weekend and then last weekend was my birthday AND work is kicking my ass... I have THE worst hours. Starting the armature tomorrow morning when I have some time in the shop...
 
damn guys, I don't know what my problem is but I literally have not been able to get myself out of bed in the morning... It sucks... If I don't get up early and go do this stuff I don't have time as I work 1-10 (don't know if I posted that already...) and can only do the FX stuff before noon... Gonna do my best to get an update on this damned armature ASAP
 
i hear you man. tottally its very hard to get free time between work and sleep. were here wishing you luck man!!!!
 
Also I'm a little nervous about the capitol investment... These things would be EXPENSIVE and I don't know that I'd have enough interest to make back material costs...
 
I totally hear you. maybe start an interest thread in the junkyard and lets get a list going. I'm def interested in one as well as some others here it seems.
 
I guess I'll put a little scratch into FINALLY getting this armature done and get that going soon. Then, once I have that and know that I can get going I'll do an interest thread before doing any real work... Sound good?
 
Alrighty then! I just glassed my armature/core today. Had a buddy help me out, he finished the "butter batch" seam and shut the mold. Should have the main head end of the week and I can jump into sculpting. NOW, I need to see how many people are TRULY 100% interested because this is going to be a HUGE amount of work and materials. The cost is going to be VERY high... I'd love to work that out along with a TRULY COMMITTED LIST of people before I get too far into this thing...
 
Well, i am really VERY interested being a huge Mask fan but how much roughly are we looking to pay?

Like i said i am really interested but i am not the richest of people :) hopefully you will get enough interest for the price to be reasonable.

But why not start a thread to get an idea?
 
I'm interested. I agree with Ipkiss, let's get a separate thread in the JY going and you can add my Name to that list.
