This is only kind of a redesign, but I've wanted to do something like this since even before I saw this: http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fan_fic/news/?a=98354 .

I have wanted to do a Magneto for a while but I don't really like the comic outfit and don't have the body to fill out spandex. As soon as I saw set photos of DoFP costume I wanted to make it. Seeing the recolored edit just sealed the deal for me. Another idea I had was to do his future version from DoFP with a custom helmet of my interpretation of what it would look like in the future. I really want to build my own magneto helmet so I will be choosing one of these.

Yeah I love both the outfits Magneto has in DoFP. I want to make a build that has some influence from that movie as well as his Marvel Now costume, but obviously with a lot of personal modifications as well.
I just remembered a couple that have been kicking around waaaaaay in the hindbrain for a bit, now.
I want to do a "movie-ized" Guardian, and am even less far onto that journey than I am my Cyclops. And I want to do the late-'90s X-Factor uniform, but that's not really "custom/redesign".

You could do your own spin on the X-Factor uniform.
A little update of my own, I have decided to change my focus to a revamp of the classic outfits the Avengers wore in the comics. I have a few other ideas for some projects as well, I will be sure to post updates as I progress.

I actually just finished a Magneto helmet this morning. I think its awesome that I revisited this thread to find some people working on Magneto. I decided to go with a textured, weathered DOFP but with classic red and purple- a little darkened up cos I'm not a fan of bright purple.
Also I customized the detailing. Here is mine
Made it from stuff I had around the house. Cost me nothing but time. If anyone Is interested, details on how I did it are in my most recent thread.
