The Making of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back

Critic Proof

I just came across this on Gizmodo, and thought it'd interest folks here. J.W. Rinzler's new book The Making of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back has some ESB production photos that are apparently quite rare. Here's one from the article:

The Boba Fett teardown alone made me totally giddy, and apparently Vanity Fair is running excerpts from the book all week. Hopefully this isn't old news, but I thought it'd be neat to share.

Major thread on this in the off topic section. Don't think you have access yet. That photo's not that rare though, it's in Chronicles.

Yeah this has been in the works for a while. I can't wait for it to come out.
The author had open access to lucasfilm archives and found many pieces of art from ralph mcquarrie that got misfiled. They even found the original yoda latex head and head armature (though they found it to late to put in the book). There is going to be a ton of never before seen pics from the filming. Hopefully this will help some of us with costume reference.
