I have to say I was able to show my wife that prop collecting is very practical, we had a massive storm here in Michigan and lost power, what saved the day was the wind up travel clock from the tv mini series Lost Room Prop collecting really does have practical applications ​

Seriously, though, I know one guy who startled a burglar in his apartment and chased him out by picking up his Excalibur replica and threatening the intruder.
