never tried EVA foam as a material, so as a tester im making my son a space marine armour. But my 7 year old isnt content with just a regular space marine.....

no, he wants a black templar champion.

    so here goes.....

so far within 3 hours, ive all but finshed the build. gotta bit of detailing to do ie eye lens etc, its now under coated on my next day off i'l finish the paint job.

ive learnt alot from the forum on EVA builds plus doing it myself.. i see the need to coat the EVA first before painting directly to the foam. ive also found a good way to buff the foam and the glue to get rid off the cuts, glues, and roughness i found that taking off the rotory tool bits and just using the grip to the bit end is just right to smooth.

why the rush? With EVA clean cuts and seam the first time is way easier then sanding work and filler later.

I think it's amazing so far. Keep up the good work. If I let my kid see this, my weekends would be occupied till Halloween....2015.

i went for gold lens for the eyes, they are made from tinted american football visor strips that are easy to cut to shape and bent this strip was just left overs from my predator mask... this would have looked better in red however this was just a 'tester' helmet for my first EVA foam build.
