The Legend of Zelda - Majora's Mask "Skull Kid" Costume

Hey guys,

I made a thread in the prop forum concerning this mask, but I think I'm going to go ahead and make the full costume for an upcoming convention.

I'm really not sure where to begin with this costume. It looks like I'm going to have to sculpt the mask myself, as no one seems to have a replica available for purchase (unless someone here has a "retired" costume they wouldn't mind selling off, and if you do please let me know).

While most of it is worn and tattered, it's still a surprisingly complex costume. I considered wooden curtain rings tied together with rope/string for the belt, shoes and hat rim, but things like the shoes and hat itself, I have no idea with.

I'd appreciate any advice I could get.

I saw an excellent rendition of this costume at the Ohayo*Con convention in Columbus, OH in January. I will dig through my pictures to see if I got any shots of it, becuase it might give you a starting point.
