Hi gang!

Was wondering if anyone was able to get hold of some screengrabs of the Ceptor or maybe even link to a fan made one?

I cannot find a single shot of the Ceptor online, I only own the film on VHS and no longer own a VHS player! (one that works anyway :()

any help would be greatly appreciated

Hey there...I actually dug out my DVD and grabbed some screens for you...and then ended up watching the whole film. LOL. I had forgotten how dated the effects work was, but still a fun movie!

Here they are: http://www.damcrew.com/TLS/

and here's a sample:

Such a cool prop...The trouble is, DVD quality is the best you can get. Maybe if you study the screens you can figure out the small details, such as the base of the scepter.

good luck!

I forgot all about that damn scepter..... it's like my childhood just hit me in the back of my head.

Here is a 720 shot from the movie of the scepter.

It's out on Blu-ray, but honestly you might find that the blu-ray quality isn't that much higher than the DVD. Often the crispness of blu-ray and higher res/bit rate is completly undercut by the amount of de-noising that they do on these release.

Holy crap, I had no idea it was on Blu-Ray! :eek

This made it to Blu-Ray? lol
Man I love this film and have it on DVD... loads of teen memories! lol

I recall seeing the scepter in the Chicago Planet Hollywood back in the day...I think. Unfortunately don't have any pics, but maybe someone snapped a few good photos.

BTW, Starfighter looks great on Blu-ray!

Thankyou so much, that is really appreciated mate.

TLSF was the first VHS movie we owned when i was a kid, so I watched the hell out of it and so I've always been facinated with this prop.

I'm a metal worker by trade so hopefully I can do this Ceptor some justice :)

Many thanks my friend!

Wow ... talking about a blast from the past. The scepter was awesome ... especially back in the day, I remember making one out of duct tape and a fat sawed off mop handle when i was like 13. Great stuff. Would be interested to see where this thread goes (if you are gonna make a replica)
