The Land that Time Forgot

Just watched the 1975 version this morning on Turner Classic Movies channel. I know there have been remakes of this but I personally would like to see a direct sequel. I think it would be a good story to see how they lived, what other groups they may have encountered and how their children (assuming they had any since then) handled growing up on the island.

I loved this show growing up and would watch it on my old wood cabinet TV. I was shocked to see how the show had aged and on how it was different to my memory of it. A reboot would be good for a wider range of viewers not just the nostalgia demographic.

Is this the one where they shoot the dinosaurs but the dinosaurs take several minutes to die because it takes that long for the body to relay the message to the brain that it is dead?

The movie The Land that Time Forgot was taken from a book written by Edgar Rice Burroughs it was the first of his Caspak trilogy.

The Land That Time Forgot (1918)
The People That Time Forgot (1918)
Out of Time’s Abyss (1918)

Just wanted to add, if anyone is interested, all of his books are in the public domain and can be found on this page at Project Gutenberg. in various formats. Books by Burroughs, Edgar Rice (sorted by popularity) - Project Gutenberg

I saw that in the theaters with my dad. I was 9. For the longest time I couldn't recall the name of the film. What I remembered was the beginning where the fella tossed the message in the bottle and how it tied into the end.

I first saw this movie on Monstervision in the 90s. I keep forgetting to check TCM's weekend schedules as they usually have at least some scifi movie on.

This a comic Marvel published for the movie, I had a copy of it I bought at the local news stand. Great cover and art

Went on youtube today. All of these movies are on and full length, even At Earth's Core.
Plus, drumroll please... The Last Dinosaur. How in the h*** did Richard Boone almost hook up with Joan Van Ark ? lol

Love these movies, for that time period they were great to watch. I'm still a huge fan of the Harryhausen movies ( Gwangi, One Million BC etc ) but these were the coolest back then
