Any fans of the classic 60's tv show?
Any props from the show?

I've just ordered my first prop, a Kato mask. Can't wait to get it.

Would love to get other replicas eventually.

Anyone got any other replicas they wanna show?

For decades, I've waited for the Green Hornet to hit the big screen. Now it's finally happening... but with Seth Rogen? :confused

Some props floating on Ebay but I would avoid it, the items I have seen is really poor. I look forward to seeing some better stuff out there.

Shame they don't release the whole series (one season) on DVD.
I don't know if there were that many props other than the main props, but having the whole series would help.

I haven't watched the show in a long time.

I was looking for the series on DVD yesterday, i hope they do bring it out.
You're right, there weren't that many, but some replicas of the newspapers would be cool, also, the Hornet Sting :)

Hi All,

Also, the car was revealed at Comic Con and looks great:

Take care,

Not to me, it looks like a very bad toy version of the tv Black Beauty. If the car is an indication of how the movie is going to be, then it is going to be a train wreck. Which is really disappointing, since I have been waiting for a GH movie since it was announced back in 86. I guess that Hollywood has learned nothing from their disasters like the "Wild, Wild West, and the recent "Land of the Lost" debacles.

The Green Hornet Book, about the tv show has an interesting story about the Hornet Sting. It was originally opened by a spring, which was way too powerful. Almost every time Van Williams operated the opening switch, the Hornet Sting flew apart! :eek It was so bad that they removed the spring, and had Van Williams open the HS with a flick of his wrist. The gas gun also gave them problems, they originally used a colored gas, but it didn't show up on the night filming. The solution was to used talcum powder died green.

I bought the dvds of the two GH serials, "The Green Hornet", and "The Green Hornet Strikes Again". I can't wait until I have the free time to watch them. From the photos, the Green Hornet's gas gun is a C96 Mauser with small gas cylinders attached to the barrel.

David.

Thanks for that great info David.
I may have to look for that book, sounds like a really interesting read.
Still need to see the 2 movies but definitely will soon.

Here are a few photos of some of my Green Hornet props.
