The first 5 MINUTES of AvP-R!!!!

Personally, if was making the film, I would have forgotten completely about the first AVP and removed it from history so to speak (like Bryan Singer did with Superman Returns, by ignoring the existence of Superman 3 and 4) I would of opened the film by showing the Pred's receiving a shipment of Alien eggs from the Space Jockey (the Alien species we see fossilised into the chair on the derelict from the first Alien movie) that would of been a great way to link it altogether.

I always liked to think of the Space Jockeys race as intergalactic arms dealers and that they had genetically engineered the Alien as a biological weapon. Seeing the Pred's being shown around the ship that will become the derelict by the Space Jockey and looking over the cavernous storage bay, the same one where Kane gets his facial in Alien, would of been great nostalgia.

The Pred's then load the eggs on to their ship but one of the stasis tubes gets cracked and a face hugger escapes attacking a young Pred in secret in the bowels of the ship.

The ship then heads for earth to drop off a Pred for a human hunt and at that point we're back to what we see in the opening 5 min edit, where the PA takes out the Pred preparing the Alien head for display and the inexperienced Pred takes out the whole craft in panic, ship crashes, Wolfy boys called in - all hell breaks loose.

Doing it this way would of taken care of the whole Alien growth cycle because I always hated the fact they messed around with the Alien growth cycle on AVP. Yet another reason to hate Paul Anderson.

i LOVED THIS first 5 mins my jaw dropped when they showed the predators home planet and than when the video feed showed wolf was going down i was just wow reminded me of that old 90s movie where that kid discovers a super bas @$$ alien spaceship i just cant remeber what it was called

but after all the visuals and drooling

only two question stands why does wolf get the message i would have rather enjoyed seeing a elders meeting and see them select wolf to go kill the abomination known as the predalien and two where were all the other predators at the end of AVP there was a elder and about 15 other preds in the background so i just wander did the pred alien run through 20 predators like nothing including a elder

but besides these ponderings i cant wait im so siked for this film its going to be awesome i also hope it does great in box office so we can get a AVP 3 like the straus brothers have already talked about

I agree punhulk, it would of been cool to see Wolf being called in by an Emperor type Predator. The fact status in Pred society is based on you skill and achievements as a hunter, the Emperor would be it! The meanest muther in the galaxy! He wouldn't even bother getting out of bed for a Pred-alien, the challenge would be so beneath him, so he sends Wolf to sort it out instead.

A Pred-alien certainly wouldn't be a match for a ship full of Preds, especially and elder, who I would rate higher than Wolf. By having the inexperienced Pred lose his head and take out the ships engines, I suppose the Straus brothers can argue the rest were killed in the crash.

I bet Dutch wished he'd encountered Mr dead-head, take out your own ship, can't shoot for **** Pred. Dutch wouldn't of had to rig the log trap, idiot boy would of had him dead to rights, only to take down a near by tree and crush himself to death.

Anyway, will have the definitive answers soon, but it is looking like the Straus brothers might deliver the film we should of had the first time around. Fingers crossed.

In regards to the Predalien having strong Predator features, this is because of the possibility that a Predator's DNA is more dominant than a human's, thus more of it's features would be present in an alien.

For the Wolf getting called bit, I don't think having elders sitting around makes sense... they have cleaners on call, monitoring their emergency communication channels for these urgent calls and they're ready to react as quickly as possible. There's no time for the pred's to have a commitee meeting lol!

awesome, cant wait!!!! i do have one thing bothering me but its not that important. the ship crashes in Colorado right? well our forrests are not loaded with moss and ferns. its high alpine up here. but whatever.
