The Fifth Element?

I don't want to take a stroll through a minefield but I'd be interested to see anyone's progress on any of the ships or vehicles from this movie!

I even love the taxi with it's retro 50/60s "leadsled" look.

Couldn't help but notice in that original construction shot that they seemed to have welded up a pretty "robust" framework for it!

Anyways- hope to see more gents!:cool

Hey not to dig up an old thread but has there been any headway made on this project? I'm looking to model the Fhloston Paradise ship as well and reference material is a little scarce to say the least.

I hope to see your wip! :)

Those are some awesome shots Tee! I accidently stumbled on them last week too while digging around here. Man I would kill ( we'll at least mame) for some shots of the underside and engines. I have the bluray so I'll try and get some high res screen grabs and use these images as a reference. I may have to take some artistic license with this one :D . Does anyone know what became of this model after that show in France?

Funny to see my old photos here. I originally sent them to the Starship hardware reference with few notes on the model : http://www.starshipmodeler.com/tech/othr_ref.htm

The most probable option is that it now belongs to the hidden collections of the Cinématheque française (french film archives institution). They own some real treasures there, inaccessible to the public, like the spinner car from Blade Runner for example.

Salut Olivier, si tu as d’autres photos et/ou celles-ci en haute résolution, n’hésite pas. :)

Cordialement,
Olivier

Salut, on se connait ?

Back in english for everybody, these photos are all I have on hand.
It took me some time today to look for the originals, but I did finally get them. I will scan quickly to get better res images (these was no numeric camera back in 1998) and post them here.

Great would you happen to have any shots of the bottom of the taxi or police car? I have someone interested in building the taxi in in 1/18 or 1/24th scale for me
