I've just noticed the PSOL has listed some more Fifth Element props, so some detailed pictures of props I've been interested in for a long time have been revealed! If the mods/PSOL/anyone else have a problem with these pictures being shown here, just let me know and I'll take 'em down.

Can anyone identify any parts used on these, like a phone model for the desk phone? The phone looks like an old corded phone that's been disconnected from the base.

Well to me and i'm no expert, looks like it had a cord at one time in its life. Also has an 80's early 90's feel to it, and i also think it has been a destop cradle type phone, whereby it is laid flat on the main phone body.
It seems familiar, guess an ebay search wouldnt go amiss!!!

Torture who you have to. The President, I don't care. Just get me those phones.

Actually I was going to say it looks a lot like a TV remote control to me! Just vatuely shaped like, tho, not based on a found object

I wouldn't doubt that it's specially made for the production, although who knows, there could be found phone that looks like that...

Remember it's failry well known that they did use found items on various props.

That looks like the handset of my old fax machine.
What is this from? Stargate?

Oh I see Fifth Element. Was that film any good?

It had the flying cab driver, right?

Fifth Element. See it today! :D

Nutshell review: two hours of eye candy. I think FE brilliantly captures the spirit and flavor of the old 70s and 80s Heavy Metal magazines. Bright, colorful, lots of action. Incredible design. None of it makes any sense. :lol

Boil yourself a bowl of popcorn and strap in. But try to switch off the rational part of your mind, and you'll enjoy it more.

You left out "smokin hot chick", though I suppose that's a matter of opinion.

Fax machine? Interesting. Might fit. Makes the search harder. Maybe a retitling of the thread would get some non fifth E fans in here to look at it. Surely SOMEONE has seen it???

Ooh, this is a good one!
Yeah, that looks very familiar...

I would definitely add the hot chick ref and what a great strap she was wearing!

Hmmmm. French. Could be...
I would change the thread title for sure, get some hard core spotters in here!

Loving all the interest on this piece, looks like we have a lot of people on the case! I like the fax idea.

HouseAtreides; see The Fifth Element! Now! :lol

I'm up for the title change, any suggestions what I should change it to? Maybe I should remove the keypad as well, since it looks pretty easy to replicate (I just noticed the little bits of paper on the buttons :lol).

Shall we apply the age-old approach of leveraging geographical logic?

Would this have been FRENCH hardware?

As this was shot in the UK, I would say you would be better off looking at British telephones.

I say this because I know of another prop from this movie that was also created using a specific model of phone that was only available in the UK.

Hi there, the handset on Zorgs desk is part of the Urmet 1130/11 intercom handset. It must have been painted black at the studio and the cord has been removed. You can find it at

Damn, that's literally more than a decade-long search over! You're actually right.

How did you discover this was the phone used?! Insanely well done! Attached are some photos I found on Google of supposedly that model from another angle. Looks exactly like it!
