Got a crazy idea today, while trying to mod the dome mount... "hey, why don't I cut this up?"

So I did... and now it looks like this:


Has he gone mad, you're thinking... well... maybe I have... :lol

But don't worry... it is for a purpose... and it'll turn into something... but, can anyone guess what that's going to be? :rolleyes

More to come... as I massacre this helmet.

I don't think it takes much guess work. You probably don't either, hence the eye roll smilie.

Put asculpt of Luke's head in there and you've got a great replica for the ESB scene at the Dark Side tree.

Great idea. I'm looking forward to more progress shots and the final product

Oh heck... didn't even think about that... but no... that's not what I am going to do... great idea though, but wouldn't be able to afford any 1:1 casts, even IF they were made available.

Seriously... I will keep my intentions concealed for a while longer, so as to not spoil the surprise. But I hope you'll like it.

Will work some more on it tomorrow... just doing what you see in the picture nearly drained all my energy... damn, it's tough sawing in ABS...

I can reveal though, that whatever I have planned includes some re-shaping and sculpting...

ive got a replica of the vader funeral pire scene, its basically just a hunk of melted fiberglass and plastic that smells like burnt leather.... but its 1:1 piece and took me a long time to make just right...

seriously, if your not making an ESB "remember your failure at the cave" luke reveal....

what are you making?

the only other guess i could make is a mcquarrie vader?

maybe elongate the nose mouth area?
