Glad you guys like it - your comments mean a lot - thank you. I honestly couldn't even guess the amount of hours I put into this or the numerous nights I stayed up till 1 or 2 just to finish something and went to work a zombie the next day - like I will today today haha! Oohhhh so true tho...zzzzzzzz
******** that paint-up is beautiful, Jason. It looks like you shrunk that scene & stopped time, it's so damn good. A job well done on it man, I know something like that can be really tough to paint, but it came out beautifully man.
Jason, I seriously cannot stop looking at this peice...looks so incredible...100% agree with the way Tatsu said about it, pretty much sums up the whole sh-bang...just beautiful work man.
Thanks Marcus! I am quite fond of staring at it as well...I want to bring it outside and take some pictures under natural lighting since using a flash on it causes the gloss to shine too much.
You should send Narin some pictures dude, send a testimonial his way & let him know how much you like the kit. I know he's busy, but if he sees pics like what we saw, I'm willing to bet he'll post them & show everyone just how awesome this kit is to Paint up. God it's awesome looking, I usually don't dig too far into Action Figures & Diorhama's that much anymore, but this is just... unbelievable. Nice job again.
Wow Jay what a piece of crap... ok people I'm joking! Jay the paint up is an absolute terrific tribute to scene in the movie. You captured it perfectly
Tatsu - I've sent Narin a few emails telling him how epic his stuff is and how much I enjoy the Encounter. I've sent him a link to this thread so he can see the finished result.
I'm relieved that this is finally done. Sometimes when you work on something for so long, you get frustrated and want to rush it just to get it finished. I didn't let myself get to that point with this since I don't plan on painting anymore kits and I wanted this one to be the icing on the cake. Not that I don't like them, I just prefer 1:1 scale stuff now.
