With the wonders of the internet and YouTube I can now finally share a project I did a while back that was just for fun. This was one of my first CGI projects a few years back. I did all the modeling, rendering, surface texturing, lighting and animation. There's no audio. Enjoy:

When I did my first CG animation (concidentally some ATAT''s) the most sophisticated display device I could find was a tektronix storage tube vector display and I had to write the program that drove it. 24 years later and I'm still writing CG code :) Times sure have changed.

I remember that from YEARS ago. I think it was even before I started collecting props. Brings back memories.

I can't even remember where I found it... probably a yahoo, excite or lychos search? Might have been on an FTP with CGI animations.

Very impressive. Would love to see some of your current work.

So would I. Very cool.

Thanks. I haven't done much of anything else since then. Just some test stuff and that's about it. My profession doesn't lend me much time for CGI work.
