The Doctor's "journal of impossible things"

Okay folks, we need screen caps, the leather book, etc. Anything else that we can come up with. I WAS planning on trying to make a grail diary, until I saw this! I think we can make the journal in the same manner, and the art work is doable!
Can we get some screen caps going?

On the Official BBC Doctor Who site there is an opening flash animation of many of the pages, showing much more than what was in the episode.

It looks like the pages repeat themselves.
I like the page with drawings of previous Doctors.

Sincerely,

Hadn't gotten the chance to post these! :) There's 20 of 'em, tho not all pages were shown.

Apologies for the small size - I didn't do anything to 'em but lighten them a tad (think these are in order):

I would love one too... we need pics of the jacket also - c'mon grail diary boffins... get on it... and what about the watch too??? :)

I'd love a journal and pocket watch too. It's a shame the pages aren't shown as a whole, insead of in part. :(

Maybe they'll put more images of the journal's pages up after tonight's episode?

Heres a whole screenshot of the "doctors" page in the BBC flash animation from wikipedia:

I'll be watching this thread with interest as I've just seen the episode and it is clearly the best episode of the series - arguably in Who history - :cool

There are only 3 spreads (6 pages) shown in the Flash movie. Also, with the exception of the Doctor's page, the others in the Flash movie do not match any of the screen caps.

Looking at the hand and assuming that the journal was purchased in the UK, I'd guess it is an A4 (210mm x 297mm (8.27" x 11.69")) sized journal.

Here is a good photo for scale.

Of course, I'm going to start working on this immediately.

Yeah, I soon as I saw this last week I thought this would make an excellent prop.
An account of the Doctors travels from the mind of a human that thinks they are dreams.

If you felt like it you could have any story you liked in it, pick your favourites as there did appear to be quite a few pages in the onscreen journal.

And it does look about A4 size, as stated by juno.

I think it is about A4, if you mean spread, when open. I'd say each individual page is about A5. :)

I posted the A4 size up top -- it's the equivalent of our letter-sized paper.
A4 paper = 210 x 297 millimeters (8.27 x 11.69 inches)
A5 paper = 148 x 210 mm (5.83 x 8.27 inches) -- fold an A4 sheet in half and you've got an A5 sheet.

Man, the Doctor's penmanship is absolute rubbish! :lol I would've expected straight lines, and a bit girly in the flourishes!

This would be a really cool prop! I hope they release some sort of licensed watch or scarecrow mask, too.

That's because you're confusing it with YOUR handwriting. ;)

I think this could be an awesome replica.
