The DEFINITIVE TDK Joker Costume Thread/Project

Unfortunately guys, pics will have to wait until Mon. or Tues. as all of my materials are still at work until I pack up to leave on the 30th but I will try running some skin tite scars when I get back in and snag some shots.

Can't wait to see 'em man! :D

And good news...I had a rummage sale yesterday. I made $330. And then on top of that, a guy came and bought some MOC SW stuff after it was over. He gave me $420 for like 60 figures, a few deluxe figures. So I've officialy got enough to cover a Magnoli coat, plus some. :D

During the rummage sale, some people came by, who my mom knew. I was sorta joking around with the guy. And then my mom introduces me to him. HE FREAKS OUT! He grabs my hands, shakes them, thanks me, tells me how awsome I am, how I have a future, etc.

He's the professional photographer who wanted to take my pictures for free a few months ago.

I had never met him, and it was awsome to see the reaction he had. Deffintly the biggest "fan experince" I've had yet. He was seriously so happy to see me, and brainstorm with me about photos, etc. You would of thought I was Heath himself by his reaction to who I was and what I do. It realy made me feel good, that's for sure.

Ok Jodo

LOL! I just caught all the new images. :lol

I'm realy loving the image of him looking up, the "writing" image, and the above image. I'm VERY happy to see they took the above image. It's a great refrence picture, but an excellent image in general. :D

Yes it is. I am glad she is still able to post new images of Heath. I have also cross-posted the above one on some other boards to FINALLY end this debate about his coat tails.

Um... is it me or are the inner parts of his coat sleeves LONGER than the outer part??? In other words, if he buttoned up the coat cuffs, there would be a big buckle since the two halves wouldn't line up properly. Wierd.

Kind regards,
Magnoli

Indy I believe you are right :eek

Hecubus114 there is huge thread on the SSH forums where a member named Andre@s posts studio shots of Heath from time to time. I believe she is a photographer with WB.

Better get on that! :lol :p ;) It realy doesn't even look like the buttons line up very well with the holes in general. :p

"Oh, and the suit, it was..uh...well...Your right, it was cheap." :lol

P.S. - Magnoli, I've got enough for a coat now as well, so look I look forward to emailing you soon. :D

The cuffs on my coat do the same thing. The seam is squared off inside the sleeve just after the last button at the top. That means that when brought across and done up it squares off, and you get a lip inside the sleeve.

That can't happen without it buckling. The design of these sleeves show that they were never meant to be buttoned closed.

Magnoli

And they never were. :p :lol

Here a few days ago I kept getting links to videos in my email. Well today I checked and I had many...MANY emails with this link in the text. With directions that I should of "opened it 3 days ago" and that I was "late to my own party". So I should "try this on for size".

rest assured the skin texture is perfectly captured in both of them, it's just more prevelant in the transfer in these pictures. What do you think?

I can't WAIT to apply these!

They look very nice!
Are you still going to encapsulate the silicone, did smooth-on give you any info on encapsulating skin-tite?

Skin tite doesn't need to be encapsilated. I talked to the rep who brought me the supplies and just followed their joker scar tutorial. It's a skin safe silicone that's made to be applied directly to skin. In their tutorial it's used as the adhesive as well. Very cool stuff. It's also the same stuff that Gorify uses in their kits.

Oh I know I've been using skin-tite since I started. I had loads of the stuff I was using in my own molds, then I switched to gorify and when I ran out of the silicone they supplied I used the skin-tite I had left. But I still think that skin-tite could benefit from encapsulation, if it was possible.

The gorify fleximold application similar to what was used on the film sorta works well with skin-tite, but when your pulling from a hydrocal and then applying you don't seem to get as good of a hidden edge.

These were mine from 2007. Never done any sculpting before, and it showed!

Yeah, the difference between gorify's apply from the mold and how they did it on set was that on set they had a flexible mold AND the mold was done over heath's lifecast so it was preshaped as well. So, when they put the mold over his face, it lined the scars up perfectly and then they where able to PEEL the mold off, leaving the scar and edges perfect.

You don't get the same line up with the hydrocal and can't peel it at all.

Thats what Gorify did too at first. I have a set of flexable molds from them here. You stick the mold on your face then peel it off. But now for some strange reason they've swapped to solid hydrocal :confused
