The DEFINITIVE TDK Joker Costume Thread/Project

I should mention that one alteration that was done by me, not them, was the buttons. They provided stock purple buttons but I found a website that carried more screen accurate buttons so I had them replaced. I can see if I can find the link for that shop if you like to purchase them as well and have yours replaced.

Hope to get some pictures up soon of the back panelling. Just showed some rough pics to a few resident joker experts and they think its been nailed.

There are so many things wrong with those pieces, it'd be tiring to write them all here, but for the price, sheesh... you really can't go wrong. Just swap out those white buttons on the coat and cover the thing in fuller's earth and it'd get the job done.

Kind regards,
Magnoli

For the price, definately not a bad coat and not a bad price. Not by any means screen accurate but as long as you enoy it, thats the main thing.

Rberesh sent me a pic of the back of the new Baron coat and it looks amazing! You can tell a lot of hard work went into the designing and making of the coat. Loving it. Let's see some more pics though!

Just had a request I hope somone can fill. I was wondering if anyone could post or share in a pm a high res or large scale copy of the pic showing the Joker's wardrobe from behind the scenes. It shows a bunch of vests, coats etc hanging on a clothesline. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help out.

Nope, not a rude question. First I would suggest going to both websites and checking them out. I can't speak for the Magnoli as I have never owned one however you can definately talk to alot of people on this board that have and they could give you input. I can only speak on the Baron coat as that it the one that I had worked on with some people from the board to make it as screen accurate as possible.

Hi, new to the forum, but I have been following these posts for a while, as well I am active on ucforums.com as Grima Wormtongue, if any of you are familier with that site.

Anyways, I gotta say I love this thread, some of you guys have some great costumes, and its also a delight to read posts from Mr. Magnoli. I found his site about a year ago, and eventually decided to order the Joker shoes in brown calfskin. I never intended on putting together a costume, but I am slowly working my way toward that, having purchased the shirt, vest, and suit jacket most recently. I also aquired the coat from Baron Boutique, and must say I am quite impressed. I thought I might share some photos of it, seeing as many are showing interest in it.

So I gotta ask, with some of you investing thousands of dollars in a costume, does anyone wear any of these garments out casually?

Trousers are pretty good to wear out and about, the socks can be fun too with a suit. I tried wearing the shirt with grey jeans and it made me look like a dodgy coke dealer from the 80's.

One of the reason's i've never gone for a deluxe version of this outfit is that most of the pieces are pretty hard to wear on the street and not look stupid. Whereas, say, the parts in an Indiana Jones outfit can be worn day-to-day as well. Likewise with the new Doctor Who costumes.

Nice coats!

From what I heard the shirt was based on a found item from a vintage London stall (something like Portobello Rd, Camden or Petticoat Lane).

would there be interest in a new set of scars? I'm toying with the idea of modifying my sculpt slightly, making the lip more accurate and then running in gelatin or encapsulating the same type AND brand of silicone as the scars in the film...

I've worn the socks out when I dress up. I've gotten strange looks, but I don't care, and I think the socks are awesome. Otherwise, basically everything on that costume you could wear out. The purple coat might be something risky just because of the color, but who cares? The blazer, pants, shoes, vest, and shirt could all work.
