Today, I have finally added a prop that I have been desperately wanting since I saw it when I was a kid in the early 70's!!!!:)
It's not a prop from a movie, but from a famous painting by the world renowned artist "Frank Frazetta" called "The Death Dealer"!!!

When the UPS guy pulled up to my house, I saw him as Santa Claus, and I had the biggest smile from ear-to-ear. I think a lot of you have had this happen more than once I'm sure!:lol

To see and hold this thing in person does not do the pictures any justice at all!!! It's hand-hammered heavy guage steel, lined with leather, and FREAKIN' BAD-ASS!!!

It fits my big head, but It's definitely made for someone that is over seven feet tall with muscle! When I put it on, I look like Dark Helmet from Spaceballs!:lol

This is the painting and this is the helm!!!

I was always intrigued with Frazetta's paintings of this character and it looks like the essence of the helmet is captured well.

Ooo...now that's what I love to see, something totally original!! And of one of my favorite Frazetta works! Fantastic!

Very Cool. So where did you order that little gem from?

Now you just need an axe, shield and a really big f'ing horse!

They sell them at Filmswords.com, but they're a bit pricy!:unsure

I snagged mine from ebay at a much reasonable price from someone desperately needing to sell it for a lot less money!:love:thumbsup

Filmswords.com sells the "Axe" as well, but pricy as well!:unsure

Holy cow...that looks fantastic.:loveNever knew the name of the artist of that painting only the artwork itself...since my childhood. Congrats:thumbsup

Frazetta is hands down my favorite artist!

I never knew they sold replicas of the Death Dealer Helmet....I might have to get me one of those.

I managed to visit Frazetta's museum on his estate a couple of years ago and got to see all the original paintings. I was hoping Frank would drop in, unfortunately he was having a meeting in his house with some video game people. I did manage to talk to his wife for a while.

Congrats on your new helmet.
