i actually like the natural light photos compared to the promo pic we saw with supergirl, really gives him more of a man of steel look

I don't love the cape attachment, Mostly the smoothness of the shoulder sections, reminds me of an action figure. But the rest of it looks great. Although I wish they had gone gold belt, since he has the gold in the emblem, but for the most part its a cool looking suit.

I'm not sure why he needs a belt at all if he's not wearing pants...

Not a bad redesign, but I do think a yellow belt would have looked better.

Honestly, my favorite part of the suit is the seamlines that make certain sections look more armored. The fact they used a matching thread instead of a contrasting red thread like on Supergirl's suit also makes it look more "developed". Shows a difference of experience through the subtleties of the costume! Also makes me more excited to start making the custom CW Superboy design I drew up about a month ago

When I saw this pic, all I kept thinking was, "Gwen DeMarco: Look! I have one job on this ship. It's stupid, but I'm going to do it. Okay?"

The on set pics look much better. Still kinda clunky, I mean, when did Superman start wearing shin guards!?!? The costume looks good for some poses, but not good for movement. Am I completely out of line in hoping Cavil could have play Superman?

I'm not crazy about the initial look, but maybe I'll be won over when I see it in live action. The way the cape attaches is similar to Earth 2 Superman in the comics. In an earlier crossover episode with The Flash, Supergirl was not aware of any STAR Labs, Green Arrow, or any other of the Earth 1 heroes. So maybe this Supergirl and this Superman are Earth 2 heroes.
