The Christopher Reeve Story

As much as I respect Christopher Reeve, I can tell you right now I'm pretty sure I will never watch this. I would be depressed for days.
It's a nice tribute to him. The saddest part was listening to his children talk about him and realizing how young they were when he passed and that his oldest son had to become a father to his younger brother.

The only thing I wish is that they could have delved more into his film career. Reeve should have been a much more commercially successful actor. He had the skill. It could be argued that he couldn't escape the Superman character but it seems he was much more interested in smaller, 'artistic' film roles over the more mainstream ones.

I just watched it on Max. Wow….

A very emotional piece. I really feel for his son, losing his father, his grandmother, and then his mom, all in the span of 18 months.

Huge career frustrations are part of being an actor, unfortunately. Even the biggest name stars can rattle off a list of roles they desperately wish they could have played. If it's not career circumstances getting in the way then it's their age at the time, or their physical appearance, etc.

You can be the best architect in the world but you still won't get to build whatever you want. Not unless you have a billionaire family ready to pay for it. Some creative careers are like that.

Amazing and terrible, amazing film that makes you feel terrible(and great)... definitely worth a watch!

A lot of new information, at least to me. I had no idea he regained some mobility, if you can call it that.

I never met the man, but Chris will always be my Superman.
