Someone directed me to this Instructable where a fellow made a Flux Capacitor replica - for only $55! Now, I know it's nowhere near accurate, but it looks darn good for its price. Plus, it's completely homemade!

I don't know dip about the flux other than what I remember it looking like from the movies but it doesn't look half bad to me. I like the lights!!

Yeah, I don't think it loks TOO bad. It certainly gets it's point across, though. No mistaking what it's supposed to be.
 
i think to the untrained eye, this is a spectacular little prop, and would look awesome in your car. And Instructables is a very good site, albeit it has little in the way of prop making tuts. couple of dynamo labels and you're set!
