The Buster sword (Final Fantasy crisis core)

Thought i would share some pictures of the Buster sword i made for my cosplay of Angeal from Final Fantasy.

The body of the sword was made from a single plank of pine, detailed with styrene and apoxie sculpt, the lines in the blade were dremeled by hand. Vinyl was used to wrap the hilt. Total height is almost 6ft.

Dang that's gorgeous. Looks pretty heavy. I can't comment on Crisis Core as I haven't played it but this is awesome.

I always loved Cloud's buster sword, especially the Advent Children version.

Excellent work. Seriously, this is very cool.

Its does have some weight to it, but i can still hold it up with one hand long enough for a few photos. haha

i like it looks pretty authentic.. now all you need is the advent children sword that comes apart in several different swords

Very nice - I like how weighty it looks. Though the handguard/golden part seems to be lacking a bit in detail.

The multi part AC sword is certainly a challenge id love to try one day.

Ikariya, yeah i skimped on some of the details on the hilt (no-one notices at cons... haha), it was made in two days, with limited screenshots, while finishing my own and other peoples props and costumes. I would love to make a second one and spend a bit more time perfecting it.

Apoxie sculpt was only used for the raised details around the golden part of the hilt, that stuff goes pretty far... untill your room mates get into it... haha
