The Book of Boba Fett

It's interesting since both shows were created and written by JF. Only difference between the two shows is RR producing and directing most of it.
I think, for me, a major part of the issue is that I’m having a hard time accepting Boba’s age.

The Mandalorian/Book of Boba Fett are set ~5 years after Return of the Jedi, in 9 ABY.

So that means this old man I’m seeing slowly meander around Tatooine was still an old man in the Original Trilogy, and I’m just having a bit of a hard time accepting that.

I mean, from what I can tell, the lore says that Boba was “born” in 32 BBY, so this guy we are seeing in this show is supposed to only be 41 years old? Morrison is 61, and in this he’s looked every bit of that age.

I don’t know, maybe it’s just me, but that one thing has really taken me right out of the world they’ve created in Book of Boba Fett.

It's been said before but given the ordeal Fett had been through and being on a harsh, desert planet with two suns like Tatooine, his aged appearance just isn't hard for me to reconcile or make sense of. Even then, I personally think he looks closer to 51 than 61 but that's just me. Regardless, we have the same situation with Obi-wan. He aged a lot in his years on Tatooine as well, although he was admittedly there longer.

He's aged like a two term president. I have an extremely hard time accepting it as well even with his brief time in the Sarlacc, and that's ignoring how he went from 6'0 and slim as a rail to 5'7 and 200lbs.. (im not crapping on Tem, but why are body doubles ok for Mando/Pedro but not him??) Frankly it would have made far more sense for them to have written it so that Boba had been in the Sarlacc for upwards of as much as 2-4 years, having lost a hand or and lower leg or something before he was finally able to fight his way out of what should have been glimpses into a visage of StarWars version of Hell, with melted bodies being absorbed into the walls crying out for help and such, and then him spending a year or two with the Tuskens before getting back to society, getting a new prosthetic hand much like Lukes and then going hunting for his armor etc... something significant to warrant his change.
Oh no im writing a better season than the show writers did with their own crap and im not even trying

Mando got swallowed by a goddamn Krayt Dragon with acid vomit and managed to survive like it was no big deal (yes i know it was his weird ass plan) and Bobas time spent in the Sarlacc was seemingly really not much longer. Hell he spent most of it unconscious apparently and was willing to jump back in..

Then again Obi-wan aged like milk too so what the hey

The first few minutes of this episode had action that far surpassed everything else in this series so far.
The body count alone in the first 2 minutes is unbelievably shocking given that Boba has yet to fire a shot.... o_O

Maybe he’ll get a bigger ship and this fighter can be stored inside it
It's gonna be awfully hard to earn cash towards another new ship when you cant easily fit bounties in your first new ship :p

At this point all I want is a scene where the X-wing guys pull him over again, but this time with a droid pod stuffed full of heads, just to see the look of mute horror on their faces before he races off again

Maybe Bryce could sit down with Rodriguez and teach him how to direct?
If you re watch... his directing is good its the weak slow paced stories he's having with shooting.
The shots are set up nicely and he uses the rule of thirds well..
You can't blame a director well I guess you can but he will be working with or against a tight storyboard.

He's used to being the Captain of the ship
Unfortunately this time its
"Tug Boat Willy!"
