Before I had a kid, the most you'd get out of me when I saw one of these pics is an "Awww!" But now I look at these and see the happiest Dads ever.

Halloween, my son wanted to dress up. What do you think? I said. Batman? You like Spider-Man... No, Daddy, I heard. "I want to be the big boy who fix the ship for Cap'n Jack!"

So, yes, I had a crap South Beach leather jacket and only carried the MR lid, so accuracy's out the window, but this was one of the most fun days of my life, so far, because my son made up his own character and put together his own suit and walked around with Mommy and Daddy, having fun.

Which, really, is what props is all about to me. :)

Excellent! Me first mate is almost his age so ship him on down to Tortuga. We are heading out for the Aqua de Dulce in a few months. Ship is dire need of attention! The D-Sail is having some problems!:lol

I've seen a lot of stuff on the boards that made me wish with every fiber of my being that I could afford the money/time/energy to get them.

I can say with complete confidence that I've never envied anything in any other thread here more than I envy the pride and happiness you guys feel in these pictures.

This is a great thread, and seeing how happy kids and adults alike are to see us in costumes is one of the big reasons I enjoy the charity and appearances. It makes all the time, effort and investment worth it.

Here's a pic of me as Begins Batman with the happiest little Batguy I've ever seen. Most of the other kids were very shy, but this little guy ran right up and couldn't wait to get his picture. It's one of my favorite pics.

Just before he let go of his mom's hand, he probably chirped,"Moooom! This isn't like santa at the mall. This is the real Batman."

Great picture. Great thread.

Kids love Halloween and Dad's love dressing their kids up as Darth Vader it seems :lol
My two-year old son had his first 'proper' trick or treating walk this year, we both loved it, plus the promise of sweets meant he kept the costume on for ages :thumbsup
