Progress video list:
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3

Hi everyone! I have started a new project this year: building the Hyperion battlecruiser from Starcraft 2.
So what is it?
The Battlecruiser is a super massive spaceship from Starcraft, a military scifi videogame which also inspired me to build my three previous costumes (The Ghost, The Hydralisk and The Archon). It is equipped with a large array of firing weapons while also being heavily armored. It’s basically a giant space fortress.
For the build: no 3D print, simple materials: cardboard, foam, glue. Reference used will be the 3d model found in the Starcraft editor. It will be a long ride but as the actual Battlecruiser Commander say; "Set the course! Take it Slow! Make it happen!"
By the way this is part of a costume project hence why I'm posting it here.

Now let us commence!

I will update the photos and videos as I progress.

How big is this thing going to be when completed?
about 3 meters in length?
2.5 meters across
This would be better hosted in general modelling, wouldn't it?
yes I think it’d be better there for now. I posted here because I plan to make the Commander suit when the model will be done as part of the whole costume project. If a moderator could kindly switch this into the model section, it’d be nice!

That looks really amazing! Love Starcraft 2, so I'm very interested in how things turn out. Good luck!
Thank you! I’m like fanatic about the game since I was a kid

Here are some new progress photos
I added all the small details around the Head Part. Left the window panels open for when I start wiring the lights and “populate” the decks with some “crewmates” ;)

Ok so that looks just outlandishly amazing!!! I'm not only impressed at the level of detail you're putting in this, but the whole thing is made from cardboard! One of the most common and basic materials in the world, and you're using it to do amazing work. Once again great job!
